School / Community Centre

Through the Powered By Service workshop, students learn to show their concern on different social issues and ways to improve them. Some of their plans are implemented as a project with various interfaces in the community.

There are many ways for primary and secondary schools to get involved in Kids4Kids Programs.

My Story Creation

Primary schools are welcome to participate in this exciting writing and illustration competition. Each participating school can submit the ten best stories written by its students. The winning story from each school will be published in either the Kids4Kids’ Treasury or online collection. Each year’s new participating schools will be invited to attend our My Story Creation Workshops, which prepare students by developing skills in writing and illustrating their own stories.

Buddy Reading Programme

Open to both primary and secondary schools. A remarkable opportunity for students to help children from low-income families by sharing the love of reading. We encourage schools to take the lead in mobilizing their students to read at our Buddy Reading sites. Training provided along with materials, resources, and support. Contact brp@kids4kids.org.hk for more information.

Powered by Service

Powered by Service (PBS) is a bilingual secondary school-based capacity building workshop delivered to schools with limited resources, covering approximately 6 hours of training. Placing a strong emphasis on service as a means to develop the whole person, PBS introduces important topics that are often not covered within the standard Hong Kong curriculum. PBS can be tailor made for the host school. Click here for more details, or contact us at pby@kids4kids.org.hk.

Powered By Youth

Powered By Youth (PBY) forum is an annual 2-day forum for students aged 12-17 to explore their personal strengths, social issues, and community action ideas. It's a launchpad for high school students to create their own CAS / service learning activity with their passins. Click here to find out more on PBY 2017 and stay tuned for next year's event!
